From your Antibullying Ambassadors
We have celebrated JP Friendship Week and hope we’re really making a difference so we create a rainbow feeling where we are happy and no one experiences repeated behaviour intended to hurt someone.
We’ve continued our Feel Good Friday’s and in November classes created memory jars with every child putting in a favourite memory. This was to help us remember the positives to draw upon when we’re not feeling very resilient.
We also introduced our poster competition and are extending the deadline until after Christmas. Can you create a poster (hand drawn or emailed to secretary@) about treating each other fairly, especially busting common ideas about girls and boys?! We will laminate and display your posters and one lucky winner from EYFS/KS1 and KS2 will win a £10 prize to be chosen by you!
Attached below is the advert if you would like to apply to become an ABA! This is for some Year 3 children to join our team. Children who are in Years 4 and 5 who would also like to apply during this round are welcome to do so.
We would also like to introduce our Positive post box! Everyone is invited to write a letter, send a note or picture to our partner school, Eastlands Primary School. All children are invited to write letters of positivity to help spread kindness and respect. By putting pen to paper we will hopefully create a culture of positivity and antibullying. We are working really hard to gain a Diana Award Anti-Bullying Respect badge and we really hope to continue gaining enough evidence of all the wonderful things going on at JP!
As ever, if you feel you ever need to talk to someone or have any problems please talk to one of us. We are also in the ICT room every Tuesday as a drop-in session if you’d like to talk.
Happy New Year from the ABAs!
