We had a lovely day last Friday 4th January .
It was our second ‘Pause Day’ of the year and it gave the children another opportunity to stop and reflect during an ‘off-timetable’ Religious Education day.
On Sunday 16th January, World Religion Day was celebrated. The aim of this day is to promote inter-faith understanding and harmony.
And so, at Jennett’s Park, the children had an opportunity to learn and discuss the different religions during the day. We used art and music as vehicles to express our feelings about the world and religions. We focused on the lyrics of the song ‘The World in Union”.
“…Gathering together
One mind, one heart
Every creed, every colour
Once joined, never apart…”
Take a look at our wonderful work! Some of the pieces decorate now our corridors some will go to our community as part of intergenerational project.
